How long does it
take to set up?
Set-up times range from
as little as 1 to 3 working days depending on the
structure of your website.
Can I turn the
sms function off?
Yes, you can do this
by omitting your cell phone number from your login
area.
Can I process
refunds? Yes, we do them manually on
your behalf.
Is there after sales
service?
Yes. We have a dedicated Email Support for any queries or problems.
Do I need my own
website?
No. You can also have a web
page on another site but would need to get
permission to add our system to that
page.
Do you store the credit card
numbers? No we don't. This is a security
measure which prohibits credit card
fraud.
What about credit card
authorisations?
You would need to
contact Email Support with any problems.
Is there an audit
trail?
There is a complete audit trail
of all communication between you and your guest.
If there is ever a dispute between you and your
guest, all communication between both parties is stored
forever for later retrieval.
How do I know
what amounts are still owing to me?
You
can login to your Booksure Management area and check your payments
and transactions section to see what is still
outstanding.
How long does it take Booksure™ to
pay the deposits over?
Transaction times
are generally 3-4 working days, depending on the
banking payment cycle, who you bank with and when
the initial payment is made.
Can we have a
Real Time system and Booksure™ on our
site?
Yes, you can give your guests both
options. Many guests prefer to communicate with
you before booking.
Who will train me?
We
have an online user manual to assist you. You can
also email our helpdesk for assistance on support@booksure.com.
Why a debit
order?
If there is a chargeback on a
credit card we need to be able to debit the
charged back amount from your account. (see terms and conditions)
How can I
prevent chargebacks?
When your guest
arrives you are required to obtain their signature
and a credit card imprint. By doing this you will
ensure that the guest will never be able to charge
that amount back. Also beware of suspicious enquiries.
What if I want
to cancel? This is very easy and simple
to do. Just contact us in writing with 60 days
notice (refer to your contract).
What happens if
I cannot connect to the internet?
If
you are offline for whatever reason, email the help
desk and we can complete the transactions on your
behalf. We also supply you with a manual receipt
book which you can use to capture all relevant
details and process the transaction at a later
stage.
What happens if a guest forgets to
pay before leaving?
If a guest forgets
to settle the bill before leaving you can send them an
instant quote and they can pay when they get
home.
Does the sms service run through
the night? Sms services run between 8am
and 8pm only.
Does somebody come and install
something on my computer? There is no
need to install anything on your computer as our
system is web based.
What is https? https =
hypertext transmission protocol secure - a secure
internet environment.
What is ftp? ftp = file
transfer protocol - allows us to transfer our
information onto your site.
Can I accept
debit cards?
Yes, you can accept debit
cards except those that are pin
activated.
Can I accept Diners Club or
American Express using Booksure™?
Yes,
American Express is 4%(+VAT) and Diners is
5%(+VAT) transaction fee.
Do you charge
commission?
No, we do not charge any commission whatsoever, the 3%(+VAT),
4%(+VAT) and 5%(+VAT) are transaction charges
which we are required to pay to the
bank.
