45kms East of Port Elizabeth
on the N2 and is well-placed to all major Eastern Cape Game Reserves such as Addo Elephant National Park, Shamwari, Schotia, Zuurberg and others. Cannonville has a quiet village environment, safe and secure. Walk on the sand-dunes or feel the peace and tranquility as you sit by the river and enjoy your day.
ADDO GATEWAY LODGE is only 5km from the NEW Southern Entrance of the Addo Elephant National Park (Camp MATYHOLWENI) and the area is malaria- and bilharzia free.
Our upmarket Bed and Breakfast accommodation establishment with a self-catering option, is set in a beautiful garden and sleeps 8. All rooms are en-suite and have their own private entrances, TV's, fans and heaters, and the front rooms have a beautiful view of the river. There is an in-door braai (barbeque) in the thatched lapa/entertainment area.
The Sundays River is Croc and Hippo free. Wonderful water sports facilities are available, birds in abundance for bird viewing, fishing, river cruises, canoeing and much more.
All rooms have their own private entrance, fans, TV’s, heaters, coffee & tea facilities, use of fully equipped kitchen (for self-catering guests and/or lunch or dinner preparing), lounge, dining room with indoor braai/lapa, communual TV, music center, Video’s and DVD’s to hire. All rooms exit onto deck with view of the Sundays River.
