ee’s Place Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located no more than 10 minutes drive from either the centre of Durban or the beautiful beaches of Umhlanga Rocks.
Whether you need accommodation for that business trip, a short weekend break or a family holiday, Bees Place would love to welcome you.
We are close to Kings Park Rugby Stadium, home of The Sharks, the brand new Moses Madhiba football stadium being built for the world cup in 2010, Kings Park Swimming Pool, Pavilion and Gateway shopping centres, Suncoast and Sibaya casinos, Greyville race course, golf courses & of not forgetting some of the most amazing beaches in the world.
Whether it is a Curry cup game or international test, Kings Park Rugby Stadium, home of The Sharks, is just a short drive towards the centre of Durban from Bee’s Place. The new neighbour to Kings Park is the Moses Madiba football stadium being built for the world cup in 2010 and right across the road is the Kings Park swimming Pool. Not too far from there, just up the same road is the Kingsmead Cricket ground. Just in case you haven’t had enough sport, there is an athletics track, Kings Park Archery Club, Kings Park Cycling Club, and quite a number of beautiful golf courses like the Durban Country Club course, Beechwood Golf Course and the very unique Royal Durban Golf Club which is situated in the middle of Greyville Race Course.
Another minute’s drive down the same road from the stadiums and you will find the International Convention Centre and the Durban Exhibition Centre where you will find annual exhibitions like the House and Garden Show, the Good Food and Wine show, Indaba and many international business conventions
For the shopper in you, Pavilion and Gateway shopping centres are just a short drive away or if you fancy your luck, Suncoast and Sibya casinos are also within a short drive or taxi ride.
For the kids, Ushaka Marine world is a treat second to none and if that isn’t enough then we would be happy to arrange a trip to one of the nearby game reserves that are between 1 and 3 hours drive away.
If none of this appeals to you and you fancy a simple day at the beach, surfing, Kite surfing snorkling or scuba diving then you will be spoilt for choice with stunning beaches both in Durban or 15 minutes north in Umhlanga. Alternatively if you just want to relax you could spend the day by the swimming pool right here at Bees Place and have a great South African Braai to round it off.
