The Amakhaya Golf Lodge is situated idyllically situated fairly close to the white sand beaches Hout Bay & Llandundo and has spectacular views of Chapman's peak, the mountains, the bay and the sea beyond (Atlantic Ocean).

The Lodge is the only guesthouse in South Africa which offers it's own Golf practice facilities such as putting greens, chipping pats, net for drives, and a bunker.

We offer you the perfect starting point for Sight Seeing, Golf & relaxation (Central City of Cape Town 20 min driving time along the stunning coast road below the 12 Apostel, 20 golf courses are reachable from 20 to 60 min). You can relax in a comfortable, private & peaceful environment.

The Dohrmanns take delight in assisting you to make your stay a pleasant and enjoyable experience. English & German are spoken.

Amakhaya Golf Lodge offers guests a choice between five different types of rooms/ suites. It has three luxury suites as well as the Buffalo Studio and the Three Sisters Cottage (both can be used as self-contained units, max. 4 people). The Lodge offers you every comfort in a relaxed, private & peaceful environment. Our rooms have been individually decorated in an African style.

The Rooms / Units are tastefully decorated en suite with their private bathrooms, TV, DVD, CD, MP3, Minibar, Safe, Linen, Towels, Beach Towels, bath robe, hair dryer, Access to Pool (salt water) & Golf practice facilities, Access to Lounge with TV (DSTV, German TV), DVD and Computer with 24 Internet Access. Extra for the self catering units are fully equipped kitchens (e.g. Dishwasher, Fridge, Deep Freezer), private terrace or garden.

The Buffalo Studio

The Buffalo Suite has a breathtaking view of the Chapman’s Peak, the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The Suite is in the ground floor of the house and consists of two bedrooms, living area, fully equipped kitchen and private terrace which overlook the swimming pool and a stunning sea view. The main bedroom with sea view consists of an extra length King Size Bed, writing desk and bathroom with corner bath tube and shower. The second bedroom consists of a Queen Size Bed with bath and toilet. The living area as well as both bedrooms includes TV, DVD, CD und Mp3. The fully equipped kitchen consists of fridge, deep freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave and coffee machine.

The Elephant Room

The Elephant Room, our Honeymoon Suite, has a breathtaking view of the Chapman’s Peak, the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The Suite is in the 1st floor and consists of an extra length King Size Bed, Couch, writing table, walk in cupboard and bathroom with bath and shower.

The Giraffe Room

The Giraffe Room has a breathtaking view of the Chapman’s Peak, the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The Suite is in the 1st floor and consists of a King Size Bed, writing table and bathroom with bath and shower.

The Leopard Room

The Leopard Room has a beautiful view to the mountains. The Suite is in the 1st floor and consists of a King Size Bed (Twin Beds possible) and bathroom with shower.

The Ostrich Cottage

The Ostrich Studio has breathtaking views of Chapman’s Peak, the Bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The studio is a separate building and consists of one bedroom, one living area with TV, DVD, CD, and MP3, fully equipped kitchen and private garden with access to the pool and golf facilities. The bedroom consists of a Queen Size Bed and Bathroom with shower. The living area allows extra sleeping facilities with comfortable sleeper couch for up to 1 adult or two kids The Ostrich Studio is fitted with a fireplace.

Three Sisters Cottage

The Three Sisters Suite has a breathtaking view of the Chapman’s Peak, the bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The Suite is in the ground floor of the house and consists of one bedroom, living area, fully equipped kitchen and private garden with access to the pool and golf facilities. The Bedroom consists of Queen Size Bed and bathroom with shower. The living area allows extra sleeping facilities with a big comfortable sleeper couch for up to 2 people. The beautiful and practical wooden coffee table stores your bedding during the day. So you can use the Suite for 4 people without limitation. The fully equipped kitchen consists of fridge, deep freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave, coffee machine, oven and hob.
