Situated in the tourist town of Gariepdam, 5 km from the Northern Cape border, you will find ABANCIDOU.
Built in 1978 as the living quarters of the french engineers working on the dam, the building has been changed to room available for sleep overs on a long trip.
In the effort to keep our prices as low as possible, for the traveler that does not want to spend his while budget on the first night at a 4 or 5 star hotel, our facilities are basic.
While basic you can expect a clean room, clean fresh linen, guest amenities, a hot shower and of course the hospitality and friendliness that can only be offered by a family run establishment
3 km from the majestic Gariepdam, you can expect to hear all differenty types of wildlife, especially the fish eagles that roost less than 1 kilometer from out property
